The best Victoria sponge cake recipe with buttercream filling frosting or icing and mixed fruit jam topping.
Victoria Sponge cake Recipe
150 gms self raising flour, 150 gms Butter, 150 gms Castor Sugar, 3 Eggs. 1/2 Tsp Vanilla essence.
Mix Butter and Sugar.
Beat it till its creamy.
whisk the eggs.
Mix the beaten egg slowly to the mixture and beat it.
Mix Vanilla essence to the mixture.
Add Spoons full of flour and fold in gently.
Keep mixing to form the smooth batter.
Take 2 Baking Tins of 6 inch each, prepare the tins by putting some oil and brush it around,dust the tins using flour.
