1 Cup (220 g) Castor Sugar, 2 Cup (260 g) All Purpose Flour, 1/2 Cup Almond, 1 Cup chopped Date paste, 1 Egg, 1 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder, 1 Tbsp Butter, 1/4 Cup (60 ml) Milk.

Put All purpose flour,Almonds and Dates in a bowl.

Mix them well.

Mix Castor sugar,Egg,Baking Powder,Butter and Milk in another bowl.

Whisk it well.

Add first mixture to the second.

Keep mixing well.

To make a smooth batter add 1/2 Cup water and fold the mixture carefully.

Smooth homogeneous Date cake batter is ready.

Prepare 2 baking Tins of 6 inch each, Put some oil and brush around,Dust the tins with some flour.Divide the batter equally in both the tins.Bake them at 160 Degree C for 40 minutes.

Ingredients for Custard Mixture


1/2 Cup Milk, 1/4 Cup Water, 2 tbsp Custard Powder, 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar.

Add water to the Custard Powder.

Mix it well, make sure no lumps are formed.
